Katherine and Rob matched on Hinge in 2021, right around the time the world remembered how to leave the house. Timing, as it turns out, is everything.

What neither of them knew was how close they'd already come to meeting. One of Rob's friends since preschool worked with one of Katherine's best friends from college in DC. Those friends planned a trip to a ranch in Texas and invited both of them separately, but neither could make it. Meanwhile, back in Houston, they worked at the same company, on the same client, and exchanged messages without ever realizing who was on the other end. It took until March 2021, and a dating app, to finally close the loop.

A mutual love of cheeseburgers quickly became the foundation. Early dates turned into a running quest to find the best burger in Houston, a quest they’re still working on.

Since then, they've dragged each other into unexpected territory. Katherine has taken up golf, to everyone's surprise, including her own. Rob is now fully caught up on reality TV and can hold his own in any celebrity gossip conversation.

They're counting down to November and can't wait to celebrate with everyone they love.
